How Pitches Are Submitted & Scored
Every Ventura pitch is built around the V³ framework and graded by our judges using the rubric below. Submissions open after the registration window closes — you'll receive a private upload link by email.
The V³ Framework
V³ is the model every Ventura pitch is built on. Shaped like a "V", with three points — Vision and Value at the top, Visibility at the base.
Vision
Where is this going? The bold, original problem-and-solution worldview your team brings to the table.
Visibility
Can people see and feel it? Your storytelling, design, and presentation — how clearly your idea lands.
Value
Does it matter? The real-world impact, who it's for, and why it's worth building.
Judging Rubric (100 Points)
Every pitch is scored out of 100 across five categories. The V³ framework anchors the first and largest category.
1. Innovation & V³ Framework
30 ptsOriginality and creativity of the idea, plus understanding and application of the V³ Framework — Vision (clear long-term purpose), Visibility (strategy for reaching customers), and Value Creation (meaningful benefits for the target audience) — and how they work together to create a competitive advantage.
2. Problem, Solution & Impact
25 ptsClarity of the problem being addressed, effectiveness of the proposed solution, potential impact on users/communities/industries, and evidence that the solution directly addresses the problem.
3. Feasibility & Market Potential
25 ptsRealistic implementation plan, understanding of target customers and market demand, scalability and growth potential, and sustainability of the business model.
4. Pitch Quality & Communication
15 ptsOrganization and professionalism, clarity of presentation, confidence and engagement, and ability to communicate ideas effectively.
5. Research & Validation
5 ptsSupporting evidence through research, user interviews, surveys, testing, or prototypes — and market validation and credibility of findings.
